Hey all,
am new to the forum and have minimal car knowledge  :)
i have been reading up on how the SOHC V-tec works and how it compares to the DOHC vtec, i also have a little knowledge of the engine types :D
i wanted to know if it was possible to put adjustable suspension on a 92 civic si sedan, so that i can control the car height from a switch on the dash or something :)
cheers,
Whatsthedillio
edit - typo :)

zup man, welcome :)
so u want an air suspension then? it can be done but u need a engineers certificate 4 it & it'll cost u alot of $!
its better if u get coil overs like Bilstein or Tien - but its up2 ya man
& for you engine mods, supercharged it hahaha but its up2u ;)

depends what type of suspension it is... but yeh bags/hydraulics/air struts/blah u can....
first performance enhancing mods would be i/h/e - sticking a turbo/sc isnt exactly as simple as sticking it on haha... costs a fair bit of money and work :D

hi dillio.
the common first mods that people do to their car are intake and exhaust.
NA tuning is a very fine are, so its important to get a good exhaust, and as I always say, try and get a japanese one if you can.
intake, same deal, try and get a tried and tested one, as dinking around with intakes can actually detract from performance.

if u want one with switches well ur best choice is cylinders..whic cost round
3grand and u need alot of boot space to
and for handling just normal good pairs of coilovers...but by them over the net never by them from a store they charge u like 2gran or even more..so yeh like they said up to u

Keep it on topic guys... any personal chat can be taken to PM.
As far as "adjustable" suspension goes, if you have the money, look into a set of Tein suspension. Some of the higher end stuff can be fitted with their EDFC (?) electronic control system. AKA controls settings from inside the cabin. Pretty pricey. I believe pornstar on these forums has access to these items.
yep, but the EDFC only adjusts damping force, not height

yes, but they're great :!:
You can have a reasonably soft ride when cruising and then at a touch of a button you can have full stiff for racing.

Oh. I thought it was completely fully sik electronic control system. Oh well... even having an incabin dampening control would be awesome. Obviously not for what this guy is after....
*presses button for "1 inch off d groun bro" setting*////
The EDFC would be cool, especially for something like the EK HB where I always had to remove the damn rear speakers before I could adjust damping force! :P
