Hey guys noob here so don't flame me if this should be in the for sale section or swaps or something along those lines.

Anyway i'm giving my beloved 92 crx (wedge shaped one) to my dad but before i can do that i need to swap the manual gearbox for an auto one as my dad hates manual.

So my question is what would it cost and would there be anyone with an auto civic wanting to swap for a manual box in sydney.. If not how much should i be looking at for the complete auto setup from wreckers and how much would i be charged for labour?

Sorry for all the questions.

Cheers, Pat

Thought u were Panda[CRX] for a minute lol

Its possible but its a time consuming and expensive process. Rather than sourcing all the individual parts needed, you are better off finding a front half cut Auto CRX from the wreckers and transferring the parts to your Manual CRX.

But the cheapest and easiest solution would be to simply sell your MT CRX and buy an AT CRX, or possibly get an Auto EG/EH 92-95 Civic instead, which he may prefer to a CRX anyway since its more practical. (look for a Gli/Vti/Si, avoid the Gl/Breeze since they are Carby's)

^^^yeh thats probly what i would do as well cause there isnt real point in spending all that money on a conversion on such an old car

or u could try to find someone with a auto crx(very rare) and see if they wanna swap for ur manual one
