i recently put the luxo wheels on my standard euro and have noticed the tyres are lower profile than alot of other euros running 17's

i compared my stock rims and it looks like the 16's have a bigger rolling circumference than the 17's

is this true? have honda australia made a mistake with tyre size on the 17's? and will this be a problem for me when i put the spare (stock 16') on in the case of a flat tyre?

the 17 inch wheel should have tyres 225/45

Yes they are different, but only by around 0.36%, which is basically nothing. So it wouldnt cause the odometer to be incorrect or anything.

Did you measure them both off the car with the same air pressure. Air pressure and a car sitting on 1 of them will make a difference because it's weighed down.

17's have 215/45

The difference with the 16" is only 1%, or 1km/h quicker on the speedo when you are running at a true 100km/h.

Your spare will still be alright for short periods to get you home. Just make sure you put the spare on the rear. Not on the front.

Edit: I got it wrong, it's 225/45.

I thought the Lux uses 225/45  Thats the tyre size I got for my Honda 17" rims. Maybe Honda changed the 17" tyre size in 2005 or something.

205/55R16 vs 215/45R17 = -1.11% difference
205/55R16 vs 225/45R17 = 0.32% difference
205/55R16 vs 235/45R17 = 1.74% difference
