im not sure if its even possible to do this but i can get my hands on a 89 accord aircon the aircon motor clutch doesn't work but all i need is the gas becouse mines ****ed in my 91 civic gl everything works fine i think just needs regassing but would need to get it retrofitted and i cant afford it but i have this accord to tear apart so is it possible to swap the gas cannisters or whatever they are? any help would be great i cant stand the heat! thanks in advance!
p.s is high octane fuel good in a duel carb engine i seem to get more k's out of the tank but is it ok for the engine?
thanks

its the whole system thats gassed, not just the canister. as soon as you unbolt it the gass will escape. Even if you could seal it up when you bolt it up the gass will escape into the aircon system and there wont be enough pressure to allow it to switch on.

damn that sucks thanks anyway
firstly does your civic already have a a/c system in or was previously in??? as you will need to fit change the heater box behind your dash if it hasnt.
if it does then you need to find a a/c compressor that is suited to your engine type so the bolt pattern will fit like you
then theres the problem of mounting the condensor(radiator thing) and hooking up the piping.. you might need to get new piping made up as the a/c pipes dont usually bend/very little if any.
then after thats all in, you will need a new pully belt and take it down to a a/c place and get it regassed for like $60.
