hi guys.
just want to kno if anyone out ther has installed their aem v2 intake themselves on a civic ek4.

issit necessary to put in every single part given in the box because some look unecesssay and time consuming...such as the given engine mount

any opinions or advice would help.

cheers

umm. i dont think aem would give you an engine mount.

its easy. just pull off your front bar. and remove the existing resonator/intake. rest of hte stuff bolts on.

hey man, u got pics?
r u talking abt the bracket that bolts onto the chassis?
i couldnt get mine to fit properly... so i just left it... it holds strong enough without it anyways!

That is not an engine mount. It is a bracket.

im guessing since the AEM V2 is made for US EM1's and since they're LHD is probably why it isnt a perfect fit for ours.. im not 100% sure though, but what u can do is just drill a hole to exactly where the bracket sits.

Hey dude, i have installed an V2 into my EM1.
it was a bitch because it was designed to be installed a LHD and NOT a RHD.
the brake line get in the way.
the transmission mount you get from AEM has to be installed to fit the V2.

it might be because that your engine bay is different to mine.
in my car it would have been impossible to fit the intake pipe from the engine bay to front of the driver's front wheel, if a hadn't changed the transmission mount.

I have a AEM V2 on my EM1 and the engine mount was on the correct side.
I remembered that I have to remove the stock air box engine mount.
And using the hole from the empty engine mount, I simply screw the bracket on the V2 in.
As far as I know, all the screws went where it is suppose to. I can said that it was a prefect fit.
The filter sits right behind my foglight. So to increase the amount of cold air rushing to the intake, I cut a hole and cover it with mesh netting.
And those people who have a V2 on them, dun you think it sounds good? It has a chunky sound! I love the deep sound and I dun even have a aftermarket exhaust!
