muffler shakes

hey guys l recently got my muffler installed abt a couple months ago on my 98 honda accord...but recently my mates been telling me when i drive my muffler full shakes..i went and had a look and everything looked fine..when i first got it installed it was kinda shakey at the start..my question is..is this normal? or isit just loose?

u mean its hitting the rear bar? If so then go to the exhaust guys and get them to change the muffler mounts. Cost u like 10 bucks :)

they should replace the rubber mounts for you for FREE.

as far as i know everyone's muffler shakes a little...so thats natural. Get your mate to turn your car on while you stand outside and look at the muffler...you will notice it shakes a little as the car turns on.

However if it moves all over the place then something is loose and needs to be looked at.

usually if ur car is really lowred and its a overaxle exhaust..t hen it could be possible that ur exasut is hitting the rear control arm. or maybe the hangers or hooks wat ever u call it is not on the rubber mounts which causing it to shake. and try shack the exhasut with ur hand see wehre u hear noises from. it can also be the metal plate on ur cat.. maybe thats loose and causing rattles
