If it says D-series then it will fit all D-series motors for that year or years. If it doesn't fit a specific submodel it will say. Like the B-series, GSR, CTR and ITR all have their own styles. It will say what it does and does not fit. Post up the model number of the gasket in question and we can tell you for sure.

Cometic MLS Honda D16 Head Gasket $175.00

Cometic Honda D16 Head Gasket: The Cometic MLS gasket is comprised of three layers of Stainless Steel. Cometic uses Stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound and corrosion resistance. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a flouroelastomer rubber based material (Viton) designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The Viton coating is heat resistant to 250.C or 482.F. The center or shim layer of the gasket is comprised of an uncoated Stainless Steel layer, which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements. The MLS gasket is ideal for both aluminum heads to cast iron blocks and aluminum heads to aluminum blocks. The composition of MLS will also withstand the shearing forces created by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. No re-torque is necessary. By design the MLS gasket promotes an even torque load across the sealing surface allowing for measurable reduced bore distortion. Suit all SOHC D-series motors. This product is installed to and gets a good work out on the Underground Imports 4dr EK Track Civic. ORDER YOURS TODAY!

Cheers mate as you can see it says it fits all SOHC D-series but the ZC being the only DOHC D-series engine I was curious as to whether it will fit the same because I'm pretty sure the blocks are pretty much identical through the D range??? The reason I'd like one of these is I want to lower the compression a touch for my turbo setup untill i get the cash for the pistons...

I hope that $175 is in AUD not USD and includes shipping. As far as I know, not doing any work on these motor or if we do I never see it, I would think if it's the same block then the head would be machined to match the head so the D-series gasket would work.

Also did some quick looking.. like the 7th post down http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=717043

So it looks like I will have to call Cometic and make sure they have what you want. But if their site doesn't specify a particular submodel they should work.

Also is this the d16z6 setup?

Cheers for more good info mate, yeah that is AUD but I dont think it includes frieght. The actual engine code is D16A8 which is basically a european realese of the ZC so I'm told (correct me if I'm wrong) the only difference is the cams...

Do you know any other quick and easy ways to lower the compression for the time being or will the standard compression ratio be ok to boost...

boost on the stock headgasket... it's fine

lowering comp ratio via the headgasket is much worse then running on the stock motor.

Adding or subtracting material (thickness) on the gasket works but isn't the safest way to change the CR. The oem manufacture makes them a certian thickness as that what proves to work the best and give a good CR in conjunction with the motor. I would run a stock gasket on low boost until Cometic can confirm the right part. If the motor is being or is torn down then you can swap pistons out really fast and put in the CR you want.
