eg carby engine convert to Ed

gotta a Eg sedan dual crab engine .. want to replace that to my ED sedan will the Engine mount fit ? or need to adjust a little bit ? can anyone help me ? becoz usually EG sedans are same with other B series Mounts. :zip:

Why bother? Just rebuild your ED motor. The EG is no improvement. Alternatively (budget) get a VTi SOHC VTEC motor and drop it in. No mods needed to fit the motor and you just need to upgrade your fuel system and splice the comp into the wiring loom.

well i just want to know does it fit .. coz i got the motor for free and im doing it myself and the curent engine is f***** and i need the car for work -_-" ;)

If your new EG moto is D15B is OK
becoz ED/EG dual crab moto is same D15B.

a u sure about the mounting too ? they got exactly same motor but im jsut not sure about the mount ... because ED's and EG's Battery are located differently as well

not true ~ on all EG civics , share the same / dimensions in engine mounts.
EK D series have different side mounts
ED/EF have a frontal mount too etc etc

engine will for sure ... just dat ed/ef have different g/b.
its got extra mount on the front as they have a front subframe..

his tryna get a eg manual motor /box into a ed auto (he should've mentioned that)

as ef crx's ... ones dat dont come with b-seies motor need to relocate g/b mount to fit

silver screen ... d16y8 will fit but u gotta use the ed mounts and mount brackets and mayb his using ed g/b instead of the ek box

Its because the mounting points are the same/similar.

The MOUNTS are different ( from a EK and a ED or EG etc)

ahh mounting points... thats what i thought were the same.. i thought because the mounting points where the same, that the mounts wouldve been too
