Remote start for 06/07 Civic

In case anyone is interested, Honda has come out with a remote starter system for the 8th gen civic. But it is for automatics only.

Package includes:
1. Remote Engine Starter Unit (08E92-EY5-300)
2. Receiver
3. Antenna
4. Key Fob (x1)
5. Security Attachment (08E92-SNA-300A)

intersting to know Honda actually brings out the remote engine starters.

btw, asgr8, for your info, there are aftermarket remote engine starters available for manual. :)

thyey use em to warm up ur car in the cold so u dnt have to be out there.. dunno whether id be comfortble with that tho lol

when they touch the gas or handbreak. the engine will cut off.
thats what i thought they did. correct me if i'm wrong.

i am interested purely at a "it's a cool thing to have" kinda thing :) there have been quite a few times where i've spent the first few minutes of my drive either shivering from the cold or sweating in the built-up heat... having something like this would be a secure way of bringing the car back to temperature without risking someone jumping in and running off with it :)

but i have to say it is quite a luxury... more of a show-off thing than anything else heheh. one thing i would rather have is keyless entry/start like u get on lexus' and mercedes'...

Whats the problem in having it on your Civic? If you love your car, no matter if there's much more luxury and expensive car... you still think that your car is the best and want to make them as luxury as it can for you... (hey thats why we love modifying our car rite? if not, then why bothered trying to install a great ICE or try to gain extra power? Just go buy a more expensive and or more luxury car than what you have now... (exception if you buy your car because you think its cheaper than your dream car)

Well... just an opinion guys...

it's a lot easier to add ice/mods/gadgets than it is to change the design of the whole car :)
