IN73GZ
11-01-2007, 03:16 PM
6900rpm, no wheelspin, i launched at 7500 on 2nd run but spun a lil

zco
11-01-2007, 03:25 PM
what psi is in your tyres/ whens your vtec engage and wheres rev cut ?

6900 rpm launch ? pretty precise ! does the power FC have a launch control ?

what kinda clutch and fly do you use ?

congrats with the time

i think u'll struggle to crack a 13 due to your speed - 95mph
Also without full slicks, not many people can better 2.1 60ft on street tyres.

barefootbonzai
11-01-2007, 05:06 PM
good effort, what tyres where you running?

locote
11-01-2007, 05:41 PM
yeah the 60ft is already low for street tyres.
i managed a 14.2 with my NA b18C but my 60ft were 2.3s term speed was 96mph.
I just has a catback ex with the pFC pluged in not tuned.

yeh but how many ppl have a b16b...

very good times man...
like asked before
what clutch and flywheel?

IN73GZ
11-01-2007, 09:32 PM
tyres are potenza g3's and they were on 26psi
custom clutch built by drhonda and extreme flywheel bout 4.3kg
naa power fc doesnt have launch control or anything like that
vtec engages at 5850 and i rev limit just after 9000rpm

IN73GZ
11-01-2007, 09:34 PM
i rekon i can do 13's coz none of my runs felt 100%
my 2nd run had good changes but a shit launch and my 3rd run had a mad launch but shit changes.
if i can put them together with the right set up, high 13's are possible

Great times! Honestly though I don't think you can do a 13 with those tyres.. The mile looks low aswell.. This is coming from experience as with our b16a civic we have only dipped into the 13 second zone twice out of 40+ passes and our best speed is 98mph. I would like you to prove me wrong though;) :D

Not some freak g3
You just need to know a sweet spot to ride your clutch.
Plus WSID is pretty sticky.

12-01-2007, 11:40 AM
were you flat shifting Shan?

rakfint
12-01-2007, 12:19 PM

naa yeh i wheelspinned on my first 2 runs but the 3rd i wasnt running against anyone coz the rotary in the other lane broke down, so i didnt go on green i just waited n launched wen i was ready. i just managed to hit the right point when releasing the clutch. plus yeh the track is pretty sticky.
i flatshift into 3rd and 4th but not into 2nd, i think next time i will try flatshifting 2nd aswell but i think it may wheelspin.

btw thanx 4 all ur positive feedback, ill be sure to let u guys know next time im going, would be good to have sum other hondas running with me too :)

I will say that WSID Is soooooo sticky, i was launching at like 5000 - 5500 rpm and didnt get any wheel spin, next time i will go all out and go for 6500 - 7000 rpm, love it so much though,

LOL u people r crazy! i lauched at 4000rpm and it just sat there spinning LOL but i realised why afterwards... 40psi in my tyres FTL :( didnt get a chance to launce again at 4 when i went down to 20psi, but it was a GREAT improvement.

IN73GZ

18-01-2007, 10:22 PM

IN73GZ
19-01-2007, 09:36 AM
95mph

VTi_b0i
19-01-2007, 09:45 AM
i bloody got 15.2 @94mph haha i ***t everyone of my launches up haha but by the mph i was told i should be able to get mid 14s...
i was running 38psi in my tyres for the first 3 runs... then i realised i need to lose some, i went down to 20psi and it was ALOT better... i dont mind as it was my first time on the track.... i look 4ward to going next time and improving alot on that time.

this car is f**king crazy i seen it run.. what tires are you runing to be able to launch at that rpm i launch at 3.5 some where around there and i spin more then half the track... its not fair lol

JasonGilholme

feather the throttle and the gas man. Having your foot flat to the floor doesn't mean your automatically going as fast as possible.

thanx bro, the LSD helps a fair bit i think, i was launching at 6000rpm and bogging down this wednesday, you just need to get a good balance between clutch and throttle to take off. im gona be pissed if i dont crack 13's this week.
im running potenza GIII's, they are fairly new and gripping ok, i chirp 2nds and 3rds still tho.

i knew how it felt not hitting 13's. I was so close one time doing a 13 but manage 14.000@98MPH. With MPH your getting it'll be pretty hard to hit 13's.

EG5
19-01-2007, 07:33 PM
try 18-22 psi on your front tyres
pump the rear tyres to 40 psi .

well said, its not really sumthing that can be descibed, you just feel it.
like han says in tokyo drift " theres no wax on wax off about it, you just learn by doing it"
