I think there is alot of different stratergies there.
Ralf needed the pole for his confidence and show the other teams he can still do it with the best, question is when a Renault over takes him at the start will he crash into it?

y is sato all the way down there? a mistake during qualifying or was there actually a problem?

I think there is alot of different stratergies there.

I think so too. The BMWs will drop back.....but unfortunately i believe the renaults are genuinely quick...if not a little light. MS will make a comeback and have a very good shot at the win.....but id say its all in the start....i can sense its gonna be messy!

y is sato all the way down there? a mistake during qualifying or was there actually a problem?

Sato did a 360 spin at the chicane...but was still able to finish!....i guess he just pushed too hard.....his first sector time was incredible!

Breaking news - Williams and Toyota disqualified!
Brake cooling the cause for Montreal upset

No luck once again for Ralf Schumacher....

Brakes are always critical around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and today Ralf Schumacher finished in a fine second position behind Michael Schumacher, but seemingly Schumacher’s hard work was for nothing. Both he and team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya, who finished in fourth position have been disqualified from the race. Toyota runners Cristiano da Matta who finished in eight and Olivier Panis have also been excluded.

AFP are reporting that both teams featured illegal brake cooling ducts and have therefore been disqualified. The breaking news means that Ferrari secured a Canadian one-two result ahead of Button in his BAR Honda. The rest of the pack shuffles up with Giancarlo Fisichella moving from sixth to fourth in his Sauber Petronas ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in fifth , Coulthard in sixth,. It is double- delight for Jordan Ford as both Timo Glock and Nick Heidfeld are now classified in seventh and eight positions respectively.

This is a major upset for Williams and Toyota.

The Williams and Toyota teams (car numbers 3/4, and 16/17 respectively) have been disqualified from the 2004 Canadian Grand Prix after stewards discovered irregularities on the brake ducts of their cars (non-compliance to Article 11.4 of the Technical Regulations) following Sunday’s race.

Stewards interviewed and confirmed with Technical Supervisors from both Willams and Toyota teams that the brake ducts were not in compliance to regulations.

As such, by the Stewards' decision, the above four vehicles have been disqualified from, and results amended accordingly for the Canadian Grand Prix.

The teams may appeal the decision.
