do we get any exhaust manifolds that look like this on aussie delivered versions (from all 4 cylinders and collects into 1)? apparently they come on the lower range spec civics/crx's...i thought honda headers are 4-2-1 formation? or is that on higher spec models like the vti i have?

the below are all US models...can't remember what the aussie equivalents are.

this is off a 96 civic cx:

this is off an 88-91 crx dx:

somebody clue me in here?

no no, that's meant to be a stock manifold on the cx civic but the original flange was cut off and a turbo one welded in its place....

that's what the US guys have been doing for ages now...instead of making a custom manifold, they weld a turbo flange onto the end of a stock exhaust manifold....doesn't flow as good as a custom one, but hey, it's a cheap alternative...

hmm. dunno bout the civs but that definitely looks nothing like an aussie delivered crx manifold. then again it is a sohc model. they look like the manifold im gettin for the boost job tho

hf manifolds are popular conversions to boost.
u can do the sme conversion with any manifold. having a 2-1 design isnt as advantages as a 4-2-1 or 4-1 design. why do u want an american version?

yeah... :)

so that means we don't have the hf style manifolds like they do in the US...they look very easy to convert to a turbo manifold, unlike the headers we have here where they have proper long tubes into a collector...with our collectors, the turbos may sit too low where the flange would be welded on...
