View Full Version : ABP 2003-2005 Euro R Kit Part Numbers and some fitment points
I know the part numbers for the Euro R grill have been posted before - but not the actual kit itself. With these numbers you can order the kit from any Honda dealer in Australia. I can only verify these numbers for the Arctic Blue Pearl (kit comes pre-painted from Honda).
Honda Australia dealers cannot find out the part numbers from Honda vehicles not sold in Australia (eg Euro R CL7) - so you need these numbers if you want to order the kit from a dealer.
Here are the grill numbers - http://ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33752&highlight=euro+grill+part+numbers
ABP Front Air Spoiler

To cut a long story short - I was planning to fit this kit today but had to abort. Got the car to the workshop but the only available hoist was a ramp style hoist. The car was kissing the bottom of the ramp when trying to get up the hoist (and you have to drive up the ramp straight). I couldn't believe it - my car is not low at all. So now I need to wait a few days until a point hoist is available. I am not paying for access to the hoist so I am not too dissapointed - just need to wait :).
Hope these numbers are useful to someone out there.

the kit is pretty identical to the sports kit, but not exact...i would assume this kit is the genuine and accurate one from japan

Sorry no idea on prices - you can ask destrukshn as he works in honda parts. The kit is not the same as the Euro Sport - I can post up some pictures next week. The year doesn't matter, it fits 03-05 models.

yes - genuine honda parts from the Euro R 03-05

I wonder which is cheaper the Euro r or the sport kit?

You can't fit the 06 Sport kit to your car without changing front and rear bumpers.
This is what the kit would look like on your car.

That is the idea but if destrukshn can't locate those numbers in his system we have a problem. You will also need the plastic housing for the JDM Euro R fog lights but for some reason there is no part numbers on that item at all - I can locate them online for you though if you go ahead.

Car can't get on the hoist? Did he put wooden planks on the ramp? That's always the way to go :D

That would have worked. We asked the shop but they didn't have anything to flatten out the ramp. We asked whether we could move the ancient and dusty Rolls Royce sitting on hoist that would have been perfect - but they didn't want a bar of it (too hard to get back in that position and it was not driveable - blah blah).
Apparently the next available time for half day on a point hoist is Saturday 20 Jan. So I miss the cruise. :(

Do you prefer a 2 poster or 4 poster hoist?
I'll ask if there's a spare on in the workshop for u....
Or we can try and fit it on the ground :D :D

Thanks Nick but we will be ok. My old man wants to go back to this same place on Sat as his friend is the owner/head mechanic. That way if there is anything tricky there will be plenty of help.

lol you are kidding me! So much for Honda being a company known for its precision. ;)
I don't have any boxes! This is an example of what I am reading - it is imprinted in the plastic of each item (on the inside). So this isn't the part number? You guys in parts must be driven crazy if something like this isn't considered a part number... :D

hahahaha, see that part number has an extra digit.
some part numbers are missing digits.
rah.. that's why i hate getting part numbers off parts, even though they should be right, sometimes their not and you then you get ****ed over! lol

My goodness - so all those numbers on the items are not the correct part number? I really expected more from Honda. People don't keep boxes from parts!

Well I got the kit on - no major dramas, it just took time. There are so many bolts and clips on the kit it is really surprising. Fitment is perfect (I just need to adjust the screws on the bonnet trim - it isn't sitting flush at the moment - didn't notice this until I got the car home).
We ended up using the stock radiator panel cover and just cut out a small section with tin snips to make it fit properly. The Euro R radiator panel cover is not required if someone is intending to fit this kit (or the mugen grill). So save yourself $50 and just modify the stock cover.
We also installed in the bumper a mesh to cover the entire air con condensor (from Bunnings - it is called Tough Screen and made from aluminimum - cost about $12). This product is really strong and will protect the condensor from damage. I recommend this mod to all of you as my condensor has quite a bit of damage from stones and it is quite possible a stone could pierce the condensor requiring a complete replacement (at significant cost - much more cost than a radiator).
I also did the fog light conversion H11 to H9 - great results for only $12. I will be posting up a DIY later. Highly recommended to people with fogs if you want brighter fog lights. You can see even from the daytime photos how bright the fogs are.
Sorry about the crap pics - these are just rainy and dreary. Car is also very dirty. Better photos another time.
Note no Euro R badge! lol ;) I'll keep it that way

Why do you need to hoist the car up to install the lip kit?
I did mine whilst on the ground. Although my ride height is stock :p
U could simply use a couple of jacks to lift the front ftw

Of course you can work from stands. It is just a lot easier and comfortable with a hoist and air tools. There are lots of clips and bolts under the car that need to be fitted. I also planned to fit the camber kit but we didn't end up doing this today.

Can somebody provide a break down of the price of each part?
Can somebody provide a break down of the price of each part?
Without the "correct" part numbers that is going to be difficult through a Honda dealer.
I know LOC888 (no longer has a euro) got his Euro R kit imported through a place in Sydney (IS Motorsport). I can't find a listing in the white pages for IS motorsport though - does anyone know these guys?
A few years ago LOC888 told me he paid something like $2000 for the kit ordered from Japan but I don't know if that included the grill and grill trim. You also need to add a little for the JDM fog light housing (from memory that is $100). The kit comes pre-painted.
I often see on the Singapore Honda forums second hand Euro R kits for sale at great prices (there are lots of Euro Rs in Singapore). So if you know someone in Singapore that could help you with shipping that is a good option too. The kit weighs next to nothing but the size is bulky.

Thanks Yfin.
Yeah I bought my Euro-R grill from them, pretty good to deal with, Im really only after the front bar.
What does the JDM foglight housing do? is it a separate piece to the bar that mounts around the foggies or something?

Exactly - the front bar has a section that "feeds" through the fog light. The cover looks like this (credit to http://www.boomplustoys.net/jdm_tsx.shtml). I am fairly sure you can use the AUDM fog lights if you remove the AUDM plastic covers to reveal the assembly. But check out the US forums in relation to that as I am using the JDM fogs.
