Have a search on the forum. I remember seeing a video of someone taking the crankshaft bolt off the engine. I beleive you turn it the same way that you would normally do it but you need a breaker bar or a air rachet to make life easier (As you'll see in that video its still a hard task even with an air rachet.)

It's a standard bolt. Any good air impact gun will spin it off in no time. Here is a pic for TDC info.

if you're taking anything apart always loosen with proper tools ie socket and breaker bar only then use air tools.

thanks my opinion - I've been doing it that way for 25 years:thumbsup:

Any reason for doing that pepper? I don't own any air tools but i'm interested to know why?

Sounds like the right thing to do, just like to know why.

not sure what your motive is for asking?
I am only contributing/putting in my 2 cents worth
I was taught to do it that way.

I own and use air tools so I dont have anything against them
they just have to be used carefully
