View Full Version : Grinding noise..not brakes

Recently my eg has started to make a like metallic grinding kinda noise wenever i go over 60km/h....sounds like its coming from the front left of the car and it only makes the noise wen im going straight or turning right...but when i turn left the sound disappears...ive tried taking wheeel off and checking all rods n bushes and racks and nothing is loose or whatnot...its not the same grinding noise as worn brake pads.. help!!!! thanks

cv joints? is it just grinding or is there a clicking/bang sound aswell?

check you wheel nuts , that they are 100% tight...

make sure the brake rotor dust cover is not touching the rotors

i had a stone stuck between my brake rotor dust cover and it made a similar sound to what you are describing so check for that to

I reckon its your wheel bearings in the front left wheel. When ever you turn left there would be less weight on the wheel and there fore taking some of the pressure off the bearing which will stop it grinding.
