Hey guys,
Went to the Servo today to get a quick splash of fuel, and noticed that optimax was no longer, and V-Power was in!
I had no idea what it was as I usually use Vortex 95, so I didn't fill up, and looked for more info.
Now, Shell claims V-Power increases acceleration. Is this true?
And they also state that it contains 5% Ethanol in the blend!
Now the question I ask is, Is V-Power all that Shell is claiming it to be, or is it just a Gimmick? Also, is it advisable to use V-Power in a Gen5 Lude or not?
Cheers

Ok fair enough, :o I found some answers this time, but can someone tell me please...
Will it be ok to run 5% or 10% Ethanol in a 1999 Gen 5 Prelude with a H22a engine, or is it likely to damage it?
Please only answer if you KNOW the answer. I dont want any guesses, or "I think so's"
Cheers

V-Power does NOT contain ethanol. It is just a new name for optimax. There is another fuel which is only available in certain areas called V-power 'sport' or something, which is 100 RON, that contains ethanol.
