Without the A/C on, your recirculated air gets warmed up by the firewall and gearbox.

even if i turn off the recirculation to get air its still gets warm.. is this common for everyone else?

The heat COULD be coming from the shift linkage spot.
Sometimes, the rubber grommet that seals the gearstick from the elements below pops off , or is worn out. This lets the HOT HOT heat from the B pipe vent straight up and into your cabin.

Get it checked out !

Yes, the gearbox does get quite warm and therefore it heats up around the leg area.

I've found putting the A/C on and selecting the foot area balances the temperatures.

As stupid as this sounds, I even do it with the roof down on warm days, because I find otherwise the lower cabin is quite warm compared to the top half (head area) because of the wind circulating and cooling down the top area.

it is normal . Happens in my 99 S2k as well , just on hot days . comes and goes .

Don't forget it'll heat up inside on account of our friend the sun. Try darker tint.

its got nothing to do with the sun . I even experienced the "hot air" in the foot wells on cloudy days . Its just a flow of warm air from the gear box down .

I do the same in my accord wagon

Have the windows down and the A/C going, that way its nice and cool but you still get nice fresh air from the outside ^_^
