purchased DC2R

hi i just purchased a 00 DC2r
problems i need a new gearbox. iam in melbourne can someone pls advice where to get a reco or places to get mine reco'ed?
also the engine has high kms 170k can someone pls advice firstly how long the motor will last.
secondly what i should be do when i refresh the engine as was my plan

As stated a trillion times. An engine can last 100,000km or 500,000kmz it all depends on how the previous owner and you look after it :)

why did you buy a car with a blown box when you don't have enough money?

i would only buy a car in that state if i had enough money to modify it.
