Hi Steve, nice car to practice with. Looks like you got some chromies and a drop? What suspension setup did you get?

honestly i wouldn't have a clue, i got the car like that from belmore auctions. unfortunatley in 1st/2nd gear (sometimes, unless u change the gear slowly with generous amount of gas) bearings make this wierd noise, i either need gear box oil change or a new transmission.. either way, i got the car for $6.5k so its still worth it.

i dont think its real chrome, inside the circles i see like what appears to be chipping, or corrosion or something (ill take a pic) so id prob get peanuts for em:P

is it a gli or cxi?
they have the d16y4 motors...
these motors and gear boxes shouldnt cost too much... i seen a couple on here sell for a few hundred after people have done conversions...

nice buy for 6.5k
did the car come with any rego?

GLi im sure (doenst CXi not have power windows etc.)?
would a mechanic use the actual part i give him (lets say i got a new transmission from here for a few hundred, tell him install this?)
no rego of course :p only had a month on it
my central locking button doesnt always work, and i got no idea what the other smaller button does. it never works when pressed (i assume alarm cause blinkers dont go off when car is locked). mechanic also looks at that?

so... are you hot?
Well, I'm sure the mechanic will install it for you but charge you a bit extra for labour.
I hear Hanny's in Smithfield is a good place to get your Honda serviced.

Hanny is recommened by a few Members here;
They'll install it, but not give you a warranty on parts, only labour.
Guess it depends where you live =p

a new clutch is mighty tempting, i can tell mine is going because the friction poin t is pretty far out so might as well replace that along with the thrust bearings (we think thats making the noise not transmission)..
its wierd, with a slow enough clutch gear change, and enough gas i can stop the sound. that must nail it down too the clutch?
