Ok so i have been thinking, i am getting ready for the next step, and i have a dilema,
Should i install my Cams, Springs, Valves, that i have or should i sell them and buy a turbo kit,
Power vs Dollar I know it would be way better to Turbo it,
Please advise from own experiences, etc
If i am to sell them i will only be asking around $1500.00 for all the items, them being Stage 2 Crower Cams, 5000km old, (Not installed on my car)
Brand New Crower Dual Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers,
Brand New B16A Ferrea Intake & Exhaust Valves, Std size,
B16A Black VTEC Rocker Cover Will Also Be Thrown In For Good Measure,

Should install them, Don't let your money go to waste... Try them out for a few weeks.... If you don't like them go Turbo!!

If they are made for turbo then I would install them. The turbo would function/perform better if it can get more air/fuel in to the chamber. Plus stronger parts are better when you put a turbo on anything. I'd put them on, tune it, see how it does, then decide. By the time you are ready to decide you might have saved enought to buy a turbo kit.

Yeah these are NA cams which is why my friend sold them, he turbo'd his CRX and couldnt tune it best with these cams so he ended up buying the turbo spec ones,
what do you mean if i put them in, did all the head work it would cost at least $5000 - $6000, with ECU, for maybe a 10 - 20 kw gain,
if i bought a turbo wouldnt it give me alot more power, for the money?
i mean if i spent $5000 - $6000 On Cams Versus maybe $8000 - $9000 Turbo Kit, Injectors, Fuel Pump & ECU??
Wouldnt i be getting easily triple the amount of power the cams would give me alone, 10-20kw versus 30-60kw+??

Holy smokes! If you're paying 5-6k to put cams in send me that! These cams only cost about $650AUD shipped, then the other stuff is about 1000 shipped. Crower stage 2 cams are a turbo cam. Post a part number so we can be sure though.
All these are B-series turbo ready cams. One has stock idle lobes so you don't get that lumpy idle. But it is also what I have in my car.
63401T-2 Stage 2- Forced Induction Special
Designed specifically for turbo/blower.
Features short duration, low overlap and high valve lift.
Requires kit #84161.
RPM Range: Idle to 9500+
Horsepower varies with boost.
63402A-2 Stage 2
Stock idle lobes (sec/pri) with #63402 VTEC (mid) lobes.
Recommend #84163 spring unless stock rev limit.
RPM Range: Idle to 9250+
18+ hp over B18C
63402-2 Stage 2- 3/4 Race
Road/Rally Race and Street/Strip.
Requires #84161 kit with rev limiter mod.
VTEC controller also recommended.
RPM Range: 1000 to 9500+.
20+ hp over build B18C
All this from Crower (http://www.crower.com/cat/import/honda/cams/b_vtec.shtml).
Crower stage 2 F.I. cams, Ferrea valves, Crower spring and retainer kit will cost about $1700AUD shipped from Crower and Ferrea. Check their web sites for more info. I would hate to see you spend more then you need to and not be able to do what you need to do to make your car run right and perform how you want it to. The used parts I would try to sell for about retail at about 1200-1300AUD Let me know if you can't find a buyer there, I might be interested.

Thanks Mate, Yeah They Are The 63402A-2 Cams, the 84163 Spring & Retainer Kit, i already own these cams, springs & valves
How did you work out they would only cost $650AUD i worked out it would be around $750.00AUD for the cams, the spring kit cost me around $800.00AUD which sounds about right according to crowers price,
and the valves cost me around $500.00,
The springs are Ferrea 6000 Series Valves, Part Number #F6049 Exhaust & #F6048 Intake, These also fit the B18C Motors Head,
The reason it would cost around $5000.00 is due to the whole process, i.e ECU Approx $2000.00, Cam Gears $500.00, Silicone Bronze Valve Guides $300.00, Full Install Approx $1000.00 - $1500.00, Various Other Parts involved, Valve Stem Seals, Cam Plug, Valve Locks, etc etc, depending on the head other parts could be needed, so i just thought good to think around $5000.00,
why how much would you suggest to pay to get it all installed?? if i knew what i was doing i would try myself but i am not that confident!
Anyways thanks for your help and advice keep it coming, yeah $1200 - $1300 is the minimum i would take after all the money i have spent on them,
