im lookin into getting sways front and back for a ek1. found a dealer selling oem ctr ones(front 26mm, rear 22mm, would these be better than the whiteline ones? what modification is required for them to be installed?? and i did search and found something about ripping the subframe.. is this possible if i go with this setup. any help would be great
cheers

go for the ASR subframe brace, you'll need it with the CTR rear sway. Anything else is sub-standard .. prob about $350 landed from USA.

You'll need to find EK4 endlinks too, and also buy 22mm swaybar bushings and clamps if you dont already have them. Call Honbits they usually have some in stock

Good luck

I think some EK's don't come with a rear sway bar so hopefully someone else can clear that part up and how one would be fitted to it.

However you will definitely need some reinforcement for the rear subframe in the form of either Beaks or ASR kits.

Beaks available here:

I have a beaks reinforcement kit & lower tie bar fitted to my DC2 and I'm running a 98 spec Type R 23mm bar.

Provided that the lower control arms are the same on all ek's (can someone confirm?) then yes that is all you need.

From what I understand, the ASR was the preferred item for EK's as the original Beaks had still some subframes break due to the EK's weak subframe, version 2 is now released so should be fine.
Never heard of a breakage on DC2's with either reinforcement though.

the one they sell on the forum dont have that beam you have in the pic? its just reinforcements bolted onto where the sway joins the subframe, same for the v2.
did you get your bar separate?

yes I got the lower tie bar separately, bought it all from EG5 (JDMYard).
