Just did a check. Found to my dismay that there is no element fitted. One would think that with such high dust and pollen count in the state that a filter would be fitted.:thumbdwn:

I'm going to install one myself . Read on other forums that the Odyssey CAF will fit. Unless Aussie Oddy also come without.:(

It's not cheap. Retail price is about $80 because it is a HEPA-type filter.

If you plan to get one from overseas, look for the part that fits the Acura CSX.

I used to work in air conditioning industry. The HEPA-type filter is the best

....damn button, didn't mean to post twice. However, you WILL get a greater pressure drop across the fan, say 80 to 100Pa. This will translate to a lower air-flow out of your vents for a given fan setting. So your alegies will love you but the lower air-flow means you will percieve it to be warmer, but not necessarily! Remember, you lucky 06/07 civic owners, the fan delivers air to rear seated passengers under the front seat, so this car has slightly better air-flow than the average bear.

And because I now realise that wikipedia is the default knowledge-base these days I also offer the following......"The original HEPA filter was designed in the 1940s and was used in the Manhattan Project to prevent the spread of airborne radioactive contaminants. It was commercialised in the 1950s, and the original term became a registered trademark and a generic term for highly efficient filters."

ya.. love the new civic air ventilation system because the air flow actually reach the back seats passenger throu underneath the front seats..

yeah, so when you have 2+ people in the car, make sure the front guys don't have smelly feet or shoes XD

lol just of thoughtfulness.. if you guys smoke in the car make sure you keep the air recycle on closed.. lol.. cos the smoke stains the filter with the cigarette smell.. which will keep your car smelling like a pack of ciggarettes everytime you open your door..

Checked with Ryco. They may have a CAF that is compatible. Its RCA108P.
Will drop by a parts supplier and check it out.

Latest: Have obtained a Ryco Cabin Air Filter and fitted it.
The tray was designed with 9 panelettes to add back pressure and these need to be cut off when you install the CAF.

For those who want the carbon activated panel, order p/n: RCA108C

cabin filters are not really the source of these allergies.. It only results from the filter containing to much dirt from the air. ACC Cabin filter (http://www.autopartsdeal.com/ACC_Cabin_Filter/ACC_Cabin_Filter.html) are great help for clean air but it would be risky if you don't gradually clean it from time to time.
