i currently had a focal v165 splits and feel wanna get a better sounds for that. My friend wanna sale me a set of JL Audio e2150 (45W RMS x 2 @ 4) but i'm not sure wheather it's strong enough for my focal splits and i found that he wanna sales me for 100 dollar(is tat exp?)..

he's also wanna sales me his JL 12w0 X2 for $250...just curious how's the sounds of that woofer and the price is it fair for a 2nd?

p.s. im a newb wif audio & english :D

the amp rrp $439 so i guess $100 is good

jl12w0 has been discontinued so no idea, but the 12w1v2 rrp $299

I assume your focal splits are the V1 model, with a nominal power of 70W. The amp is alright to power the splits but you should look for an amp with slightly greater rms power to run the splits. A bit more power is better than too little power. At 45Wrms, the amp has to work harder to run those speakers.

I see ur in Perth...me tooo. Wondering if you have done any modification to ur air intake? Should meet up or something or if u know of any cruise.

If I was you, I would look for an better amp.
also, 45, 50 rms dont usually mean much when you want quality sound.
some companies sell their product under-rated so that people can enter competition with higher spec equipment at lower class.... dont really mean much.
some speakers can produce louder sound at same power. (Sensitivity).
Correct me if I am wrong, your splits are made to sound good, rather then loud....
that means you need quality amp, rather then big power amp.
