Hey. Have just transplanted the d16y4 engine into my eg civic and when i was trying to fire it up, i had no spark. Checked inside the dizzy and there was no rotor button there, have rang a few auto shops and no one there can find one. Is there any other model of engine that these rotors will interchange with. Cheers

Not sure on interchangeability, but might be worth trying wreckers for one or if you're in a real pinch you could always go to Honda.

As Ecu-Man said the advantage of OEM is that it'll outlast anything else and you're guaranteed a perfect fit. Nothing more frustrating than parts not fitting properly!

Yeah found one at honda. $48. Well have seen the price of other parts so it didnt surprise me.
My only other dilemma is that it is a red key system. So i have read on other threads that either of 3 options are going to have to happen
1 - get a complete efi loom from an EG
2 - Find some one that can lift the immobiliser from the ecu
3 - Just bite the bullet and go after market. mite be the best option since i will be building a turbo motor for it later.

goto auto one. all other car places couldnt get me an aftermarket button for my y1. Auto1 did, $15 later. Honda wanted 70. ANd this button is way better quality then OEM. I garentee.
