06 window tint?

My brother has finally grows some brains and bought another Honda!;) He wants to get his windows tinted with metal tint! (Mirred tint) but they have in glass antenna and I know with some cars it f!@#s up the reception! Has any body had there windows tinted with this tint? Have you had any problems? any help would be gr8!

Reception should be alright as the Euro also has a built in rear windscreen antenna and reception is still fine at legal tint.

I know with normal tint it is ok because it has no metal in it! I work at a mitis dealer and the pajero’s have in glass antennas and when we put metallic tint on it! The reception went out the window!

Why don't you get a piece of metal tint from the tint place you use, just an offcut that is slightly larger than the built in antenna and stick it onto the civic to test?

According to Euro owners, the metallised tints affect mostly AM radio reception and they can't tell a difference with FM radio. Another way is to use metal tints on the side windows and a non-metal one for the rear.
