hi ppl, originally had a standard d13c injected engine in my honda city ga2 1992 and wanted to replace it with the jdm d15b p08 vtec engine., once done i hooked it up to my standard auto box (with adaptor plates), however in drive (d) the box changes gears at 6000rpm and i want to keep it in the gear at least untill 7000rpm since vtec engages at 5000rpm to 7000rpm. so in reality i only get half vtec, then i have to wait until it kicks in again, its got a accelerator cable running from the box to the throttle. i was thinking maybe its got something to do with that., please keep in mind people.,i would love to switch over to manual, but due to the mods and trying to find a manual gearbox is next to impossible for this car.
im good with modifying engines., but when it comes to automatic boxs, i suk!

the major advantage of my setup is that the factory engine puts out 50kw, at 600kg which goes good at 600kg., similar to the d13b that comes in the civic eg. but with this 100kw sohc jdm vtec engine, at 600kg, the thing will fly, its like saying a 1200kg integra making 200kw will make the same power to weight ratio.
