Does anyone know if the EM1 and EK4 use the same ECUs?

Im planning on installing a VAFC tommorow....but am not exactly sure which wiring diagram to use.

Iv downloaded the American manual off the apexi usa site, but it has EM1, not EK4......yet it sais that the 99+ D16 and B16 civics use the same diagram, yet the 96-98 D16 uses a different one!

Can someone who reads japanese please tell me if you can download the jap manual at http://www.apexi.co.jp/....cause i cant read jap at all :( .....my dad is a karatika.....he is a sensei!....so i know how to count to ten! ...but that doesnt really help me at all.

Thanks,

mike.

Its true. 96-98 Civics used OBD2-A ECU's which are different.

Mike, the em1 coupe uses the b16a odb2 that is found in our coupes here. if ur ek is 96-98, which im pretty srue it is, u cant use the diagram as the pin out si a little different.

....and the updated diagram:

So what you guys think? is this the wiring diagram meant for my car?

In my japanese manual... EK4 uses H6-a.. and it looks the same as the one you posted.

I would be able to take a pic of the wiring if i still had the VAFC... it got freakin stolen last year!!! :|

If itz a second hand one... make sure u reset the previous settings and also set your throttle %.

yeh... umm not really just a small scratch on the screen, also when they ripped it out... they left the adaptor connected to the harness, so yeh they didn't end up getting the harness, and the VAFC is pretty much useless unless they re-solder the adaptor head onto the wires.

I suggest u either put velcrove (spelling) on the bottom of the Apexi stand if your're going to put in on your dash. At least u can chuck it into the glove box when u park your car OR just chuck the unit into your glovebox fullstop.

damn, didn't know people will actaully steal them, i've got both the V-AFC and the RSM on the dash. Did they break into your car ATSE just to steal them??
