im looking to buy rims for my civic eg very very soon and need to know what a good offset and all that other stuff cos im not that good with those wheel mesaurment stuff all i know is my car is 4x100 stud pattern correct me if im wrong. i want the rims to be not sticking out but not to far in the guard maybe? aligned what offset is that
16 x 6.5
16 x 7.0
16 x 8.0
whats difference between these sizes?
this has prob been answered alota times but cant seem to wright the proper words in search so if someone can link me.

4x100 is correct, offset, you're probably sitting on mid 40's, cant confirm.
16 = diameter, 6.5, 7, 8 = width. for your eg civic, look at wheels no wider than 7". 6.5" is preferable, as well as 6" or else you'll get tramlining/aquaplaining.
i'm an accord boy, so you'll have to wait for the civic boys to help you out. I can help you with EKs but not EGs ;)

anywhere between 35-42 is fine..
35 is sticking out..
42 is inner more..
if you want it aligned with the guard.. then go for something ~38-40
