can't you just check it like now? it's not very difficult just jack your car (placin jack stands for safety issues :D) and check your sump plug and your oil filter.

Check that the seal off the old oil filter did not tear off and get stuck on the filter mount, making it have 2 seals instead of 1.

nah havin 2 filter rubbers on at same time wont mak it pour out lik tat, worst is slow leak i've seen one wit a rubber stuk to the mount and a filter (with its own rubber) and it didnt show any signs of leakage.

......wtf? ok since ur oil light came on mean low oil pressure detected, so check your dipstick. if u were runnin ur engine then yes a lot of oil would hav spurted out if u did not hav an oil filter on. (correct if wrong :P)

ok just so you can find out ASAP keep car jacked up (hoping you are using jack stands) and pour a BIT more oil in and watch it come back out.

Use a flashlight and look for the source of the leak.

umm you put the oil cap back on after filling the engine yeah (the cap on top of the engine where you poor the oil into)?
Oil will spurt everywhere if you leave it off.

If you did put the cap back on, the you may have overfilled the engine with too much oil and possibly busted a seal or gasket somewhere.

^^ thats true.!

keep in mind when you are topping up your oil, once you pour the oil in
when you do check ur dipstick it might be to low, just start her up for a min or 2 and then re check your dip stick, somtimes the oil looks low due to slanty surfaces etc,

im guessing you blue a gasket..
