Hi all. I have a 92 accord.
On the weekend I was doing some stuff under the car and a mate noticed that there was quite a lot of free play in the front wheels. By free play I mean when you push the sides of the wheel in and out it moves. This then explained some noises I've been hearing over the last few weeks.
After closer inspection the rotor/hub is the only thing moving. You can see it moving in relation to the caliper. So I'm pretty sure it isn't ball joints or tie rods. I've got a crappy little video here. You'll need quicktime...sorry.

Does this point to the wheel bearing?
If so does $150 per bearing sound about right? Bear in mind that this is hub over rotor setup. Thanks

wheel bearing perhaps? if u drive at a certain speed you should be able to hear a constant whirring? type noise just double check cos a new wheel bearing aint the cheapest thing last time i checked

No whirring noise really. Although maybe my exhaust is just too loud to hear it. Yes not cheap.

Yeah definitely not good. And the movement in the hub you can see in the video is multiplied at the tyre aswell. It moves probably 4 or 5mm at the edge.

hmm so still no result for you yet on this problem yet... this niggling issues can really be a pain in the ass.
I'm not sure what else it could be except the bearings :(

Yeah I'm pretty sure it is. But I'm just trying to exhaust other options before I spend $300 on them.
