Hey guys,

I've noticed an eBay auction for a Euro centre console. The seller claims it's off a 2003 Accord Euro, but this console is missing a few buttons, and doesn't appear to control a dual-zone system (the left knob, used for passenger temp in my car, is the fan speed in this console, while the right knob alters temp).

Here's the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150087058222&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:AU:1

Did the early Australian-delivered Euros get a lower-spec HVAC system, or is something sus going on?

Cheers, Ads

My tip is that is not from an Accord Euro (well not an Australian version) as the 03 I test drove had dual zone climate. In Europe there are variants of the HVAC but not here.

It could be from a foreign market CL9 or an Accord.

Same dash as on this accord - I think the seller has just stuffed up the models. He can blame Honda for bringing more than one Accord to Oz.

Some American units have dual zone others have single zone. Metra developend a single zone kit for the Accord which uses the same basic dash as our Euro. It is a pity they only developed single zone if they had done dual it may have been worthwhile importing these to put after market radios in our Euro's.I do not want to loose my dual zone aircon (you can get an adapter loom to make it single zone) so thats why I have not done it.

Looks like an overseas spec console. Notice the lack of dual zone climate control and the white face for the LCD display? In this one, the text and icons displayed will be black on a white background. Our AUDM Euros have white text on a black background.
