it seems like it is not grabing the fly wheel but the starter is perfectly fine, tested the starter on a battery and it spins and it pushes out as well but it seems that my fly is stuffed or my wiring for the solenoid to push it out is stuffed, anyone eva have this problem????? hanny's +GPC is charging to just check it..... need your suggestions

disconnect the battery and check the starter ground + power, see if they are properly connected.

simialr problem as me!!!
i think mine is due to the excessive lenght of wire between the battery and starter solenoid, as it starts fine when i directly wire teh battery to the solenoid...
i bought a new battery and this fixed the problem to a great extent...

i found the problem, its wasnt the bat. i ask my mate his got a 200 now,he used to have the same problem on his teggy and he said that the gear ring on the fly came off the fly and to me to just spot weld it on to the fly and it would be fine, has anyone had this problem before?????? ring gear span off the fly but still in line with it though??????

the Honda flywheel is a one piece item...
your mate is mistaken/was lied to by mechanics...

Try directly jumping it from the battery... Connect another wire to the solnoid make sure its a decent size and tape it directly to the battery... see if that turns the motor....
If it does that means their is a voltage drop along the lines of the key barrel to the starter relay....

If the ring gear flew of it'd be making one hell of anoise man.
Check your wiring for starters.

1. does the starter spin when you turn the key?
if yes,
2. does the engine spin when you turn the key?

i didnt believe my dad when he said he span it with his fingers till i did it my self, but if i can spin the fly with my fingers and the fly is bolted on to the crank sharft how can i, thats why i thought my mate was right, well he seems right at the moment, coz i can still push start it and drive, im kinda lost guys..........LOL:confused:

sounds like your mate might be right, an i might be wrong...!
but geez, never heard of it before
changing flywheel will require gearbox removal, but a second hand flywheels are a dime a dozen...

my mate told me to just remove that metal plate that covers that fly under neith the car and just spot weld it like that, he said spot weld it, move the car the spot weld it again on a different place and etc. etc. tilsive done like 6 or 8 spot welds, bit of work but betta then taking the box off

yeah, could work, but still sounds bodgy...
that is the way to confirm that it is the ring gear though, get under it and remove the flywheel shield, there is a fair bit of stuff in the way, like the gearbox braces, but still will confirm the problem 100%...

not too sure whats happening wilson ~ but the flwyheel should move slightly to and fro ~ but not "freely". and did u get dad to test the starter yet ?
As tinkerbell said take off the flywheel shield (hopefully u still have the header off) and shine a torch up there and see if there is anything loose
