Hi,
i got a call back from KMAC today to get full everything installed in terms of suspension on a EK1
-----------
Further to to-days phone call.
Coils $330 (set 4) including fitting Total $1580
(at K-Mac we are actual manufacturers, so can make in
exact heights required, also manufacture from the very
highest chromium grade steel, will not sag over
time, plus progressive rate- soft for traction/comfort
combined with firm for cornering or heavier loads)
Camber/Cast kit (front & rear) is $380 plus $180 fit
including wheel alignment.
Front 27mm dia anti-sway bar $265, rear $165 fit $66 ea
Note: We fit and manufacture 6 days (incl Saturday)
and require one days notice.
--------------
which means a total of $2702 which is a killer since I got fired not long ago.
what do you think of the price and where can i get similar cheaper?

H0LY SH1T!!!!
1. Springs only cost $1580? That price would usually indicate inclusion of sports shocks. if springs only, tell em to F%$K Off. Installation for springs/shocks or coilovers only should cost around $100. Springs alone should cost $300, shocks around $800 to $1000. Brand new coilovers cost ~$1300 for D2s. + install = $1400 ish, $1500 MAX. Let us know MORE details about (1).
2. cant comment on castor, but camber kits, can cost you $15 from whiteline. DIY it. simple as bat sh1t. Lower your car first, then fix the camber imo.
3. Thats expensive installation. price is pretty standard for actual items. Just install it yourself. Its really really easy. Get a mate to do it with you. Or better yet, get second hand swaybars off OH for much less. Save yourself $200 easily.
IMO, for the (1), get yourself a set of QUALITY coilovers from Japan. Dont mess with the KMAC crap (sorry).

dude I don't know about the quality of Kmac...but their prices are an absolute joke. They quoted me around 2.5k alone for custom made coilovers last time i asked.
Honestly, do what I did and start looking at what the traders are selling on this forum. I can assure you you'll find everything you're after and pay probably somewhere in the area of 1 - 1.5k total for some very high quality gear.
kmac is a joke.
i got an 4 wheel alignment there once.
camber was adjusted well but the rear toe thrust alignment was out. 1 side was toe in, 1 side was toe out.
i presume that springs installed price is with some shocks at least.
buy springs, some low drop 1.5-2inch max
buy shocks, KYB excel-G's are good
get a rear swaybar upgrade kit from whiteline.
put in yourself or pay someone to do it.
BUT that price from kmac is ridiculous.
kmac is good service from my own experience but they didnt know what they were doing.
if you need a shop to install and do wheel alignment i recommend Lou from Straight talk suspension blacktown. Tell him a guy with White Mirage (with semi slicks) refered you. he should know who.
Some lowered springs, shocks, swaybar will do the trick. spend the savings on good tyres and you're cheering./ he can get kings, lovells, kyb, whiteline etc.
That price is a JOKE!! rip off big time man... you can even get tein coils for $1500
Bro.. for the price you want to spend $2700, you can get:
Apexi N1 coilover, Tein coils, Cusco zero 1/2 , tanabe sustec, hks hiper max..etc
this include (adj damper & progresive springs = complete set up!) you can also add adjustable camber if u r on the extreme.. esp if you want to go loww _ cosmetic style
good luck bro

Bro.. for the price you want to spend $2700, you can get:
The $2700 was more than for just the coilovers.
As everyone else has said, shop around before jumping in. While it may take longer, it will save you cash and plus you will avoid potential problems. What size rear sway were they planning on installing? To big and you have the potential to rip your subframe out and then that costs you more money.
my bad.. :) anyways..
- tein coils go for 1400 ish,
- whiteline swaybars - they're pretty good
( i wouldnt risk for getting a bigger swaybar due to ripping the sub frame)
- good tires
- strut bar
all these should do the job bro :) Shop around man.. you will be more happier than rushing it..you might regret it later on..
gd luck
