is it possible to use the engine out of a s2000 in my civic. i was told its possible, but i don't get the concept of putting a rear wheel drive engine into a front wheel drive car.
if its possible, wat needs to be done to do this conversion, and is it worth the money spent.?
cheers

covered and yes all you need is a fat stack of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and a team of mechs willing to do it then engineer the shit out of it. (yes some one posted a link to a civic S2k engine conversion somewhere cant find it tho)

whether it's worth it or not it's completely up to you and your budget.

You can put a s2k motor in a civic and keep it front wheel drive. I think it is spoon that has recently mated the F20C block to a k20 head and put it in a civic. They use the DC5R gear box and i assume lsd. It would be a very awesome setup, spoon's setup revs to 10 000rpm, but you can imagine the research and development which has gone into building such a motor.

Your better off just doing a k20 or k24/20 conversion, alot cheaper and just as much if not more potential.

F20C head will not fit K20Awithout major surgery.
Timing cover area is completly different.

As CivicOnBoost said, use K-Series.
Proven package with loads of potential.

That's not how they did it. They probably used the cams, oil pump/pickup and other misc items from an F20C on the k20A to overcome the flaws of the K-series at high RPM. A DC5R gearbox isn't going to fit onto an F20C.

Can you have it done? Yes with a "truck load of cash"

Is it worth it? Up to you, but there are plenty of other ways to get better performance that won't cost you as much.

Keep it FWD, Civics are designed as FWD for a reason :)
