what dvd tv unit will work in s2k?

hey guys ive seen a few s2k around wit aftermarket dvd screen units..

i want to install ine but i dont know how it will come out..

as you all know where the s2k head unit is mounted doesnt allow the screen to properly open if you were to put one in

get a JVC KDAVX2 it has a small 3 and a half inch screen , iv got the older model KDAVX1, in a civic though...but yeh you can adjust how you want to open it and stuff etc...
if your after a bigger dvd deck that comes with a 7 inch screen etc, just dont push the Deck all the way in?
push it to the point where your tv can stil come out..my 2 cents mate.

alot of the s2 owners go with the double din tv, and get the jdm spec s2000 bezel for the nice flush look. theres a spot for it right above your current headunit, that doesnt have anything behind it (eg. air bags or electronics)

the easier option would be going with the jvc avx1 or avx2 fitting in the standard din, however u only get a small screen with that.

double din will only fit if you cut into your dash and fit a JDM bezel

otherwise in your original radio slot, only the single din 3inch screen players will fit, the most popular being the JVC KD-AVX1 and the JVC KD-AVX2

i had a AVX1 and the screen is not small at all. just nice for in car viewing. although the driver rarely will use the screen. the AVX2 came with a bigger screen. 3.5inch

im aware of the kdavx2 unit but i was told it woill not fit properly behinf the door for the head unit ...

do i need to buy a DCI? (Idash control interface)...

are JDM bezsels available??

can i just cut in and attached a double din unit?

your radio door wont close with the face plate attached for the AVX2. you can get the install shop to cut into the bracket or the deck by 5mm-10mm and then your radio door will close flush

with all headunits you will need a DCI to retain use of your dash interface

you can buy JDM bezels. but to DIY is going to be a crazy job. you will need to run cabling into your dash. since all the current cabling is in your radio slot.

AUSS2000 has done it on his i believe. perhaps ask him how hard it was
