Hey guys, just need a quick reply on how much new oil should I put into my 94' honda civic VTi, as I just bought 5L honda genuine Oil.

it should be round 3/12 to 4 litres

About 4L.

Remember to observe the DipStick level so you dont overfill the engine and cause damage.

I put a lil over 3L n i think its just rite 2 b honest its a lil over so i think 4L is 2 much

wat does happen if u over-fill oil?

If you didnt replace the Oil Filter then it will take less oil since some oil is still in the filter.

If you overfill a little bit then it wont do any damage.
If you overflow too much, you will see white smoke come out of the exhaust and the engine performance will be terrible. Sometimes it can cause damage to the engine, and blow seals, etc.. not good.

Simple way:
1) Drain the oil, replace the filter.
2) Add in 3L of fresh oil.
3) Wait 3 minutes
4) Check level
5) Add more if needed
6) Wait 3 minutes
7) Check level
8) Repeat if required

This site tells you the official sumps capacities of most cars sold in aust. I always refer to this site for cars I'm not familiar with.
