I think you mean "tempting" :).

There has been a fair bit of discussion into the same sort of concept regarding strut bars. I would have a look through those threads to get an idea.

if the car is on the road there is no diffrence in the cheap or the brand name, you will only notice the diffrence between the two on a track and even then yuo might not notice.

Brand pros
easy fitment (sometimes), lightweight, more rigid design.

No name pros

CHEAP, and you wont know the diffrence

Not exactly true, I've used both cheap ones and expencive ones and I could feel a big difference between them.

End of the day, it all depends on which cheap one you get. Usually when you pay more for a bar your paying the extra on materials so you get one thats both rigid & lightweight. Where as if you get a cheap one you will either get a lightweight one that is fairly flimsy, or you will get heavy one that is rigid.

Choice is up to you. Ask around first and find out what material they use. Its only a tie bar, so weight is not too much of a concern. I would just go a cheap heavy one.

a tie bar is only going to be "noticeable" if your lower control arm bushes are OK or better. If they are worn then this might be a waste of time.
Why is this ? Because a tiebar joins the 2 joints together ~ which are held by bushes.

if you can tell the difference between a no name tie bar and brand name you should be an f1 driver.

rear tie just makes the rear subframe more rigid. nothing more.
it makes more difference on civics because the swaybars mounts on the subframe. its just bolting an extra bar onto some metal. not rocket science.

buy a cheap one or spend money on something different.
front and rear strut brace ?

I've got a no name one at the rear of my car. It was better than not having one there lol....

Replacing suspension soon, and when I do that I'll get the type R rear sway put on so I can tell you how that set up works.
