, can you tell us any other info that might help out ?

Problem COULD be CV joints ~ does the car make a ticking when turning corners or low speed turns ?
Or maybe ~ does the TICK TICK noise get faster with speed ?
Might be a stone stuck in your tyre somewhere....
Jack up one corner at a time and run your hand over the tyre , checking for anything sticking out slightly ( IE a rock / piece of glass or nail etc)
.....

A CV joint for sure...

I somehow doubt a stone would make noise and only when turning...

You can either repack the bearings in your CV joints; cheap fix but if you tend to thrash your car probably only last you a few years
Otherwise get whole new CV joints

If memory serves me right; a rather messy job. Personally I'd rather pay someone else to do it for me

I always get stones stuck in my tyres and it normally makes a sound all the time.

just have a check tho, It may be on the very edge and may only come into contact with the road with the weight shift of the car.

^ yup. Simple stuff first guys :)

Best to check what you can before pulling the car apart to find a problem

ok when i go around the corners slow it ticks. it doesnt sound like from the tyre. it is probly the cv joints.
are they expensive to fix?

it may just be the boot and grease that needs replacing. This is alot cheaper then replacing the CV's themself and proved a successful CURE on my previous car. Worked 100 % for another 80,000 km's.

DIY is on OH somewhere. Shouldn't be over 100 bucks i believe??

Cost me $70 for a new front boot installed on my da9

most of that cost would have been labour.

i believe you can buy both inner and outter boots for around 100 ish??

if its a tick, not a click then you should loosen the CV hub nut and spray crc down the splines, then retighten the cv hub nut ( nice and tight )

that will fix yoru problem

DId you just get new tyres put on?? If you did somtimes it could be a tiny rock or something in the tyre itself spinning around... Happened to me and couldnt figure out wher it was coming from..
