ITR Jdm headlight help

hey guys!
As you know with the 96 spec jdm itr didnt come with hid and 98 did...
r they the both the same size? (headlight)
my clips 1 of my headlights (hid) has been broken so its quite loose. im thinking of buying the non hid headlight and grab the back part which has the clips and replace the 1 that has been broken... but dunno if it will fit properly? can this be done or is it a no no... need a quick response b4 i buy the non hid jdm itr headlight

The physical headlight itself is the same.
