ok now people listen up...i just wanted to know

i have found a b16a engine for less than a grand. which is auto (that's probly why it's so cheap)

just wanted to know if i could take aout the auto box and use the manual box in my car for the b16a is that possible?

will it have any troubles?

yes, some EG SiR hatchies in Japan came with automatic trans .. :shock:
also some JDM delsol :?

yes, i have seen it done.

the car i saw was a EG gli coupe converted to a B18cR JDM transplant.

Not sure if your manual box will bolt up to it though.

the auto is an inferior engine: you'd be better off sourcing a manual b16a, even though the price is attractive.

you would want the full shift linkage and everything for a manual B16A to make it work. Also, id think you will need a new ECU too.

def. the smart choice. Your in no rush just wait and get the manual half cut. Have everything you need cept mounts

An Auto b16a with a manual gbox is not equivalent to a manual b16a setup. THe auto b16a is indeed inferior, with less hp and single value springs on both cams. Avoid it!
