Chinese suspension .. ANY GOOD ??

Friend of mine is suggesting on replacing his existing suspension ( which is now blown ) with brand new chinese shocks . He says they are cheap . I think hes crazy . Any thoughts out there ?

Not many if not all chinese made products in the automotive industry meet the basic safety/technical/reliability requirements...

Worst thing with a chinese-made suspension that does not have a brand name to uphold is that they WILL cut costs. They have zero labour costs, so the only other cost they can reduce is material costs (design costs are zero too). You'd probably find the shock's outer casing made out of mild steel.

Watch out for fake fruit and bleached chinese tampons though... I heard their condoms are made from recycled rubber too...

Yea, china had the first car that scored zero in a crash test. lol
But at the same time, thats how many cars are made anyways, put it thru the crash test and work from your mistakes. recycled rubber condoms? sounds bloody unreal. hahaha

Personally, I wouldnt buy a no brand suspension. Pay the little extra and have it done right first go.

But at the same time, thats how many cars are made anyways, put it thru the crash test and work from your mistakes.

China did not try to improve. They sent their car for a more lenient test instead.

any how ... LOTS LOTS of bran of suspension now days are made in China .. just the brand or the name from Japan or some where else. Here in Australia we do have standards for items that are sold and distributed. If they don't passed the standard eventually would not be sold here.

Personally i hate china made items, they are not as good as Japanese, though They are VERY CHEAP and if its break just throw away, and get another one LOL !!!...

In this world we live in, you get what you pay for. seriously imo don't skimp on the sunspension department as it will directly affect how your car handles.
