Anyone tried changing the sparkplugs in their K20?
How the hell do they do it with so little room.

Nothin wrong but cannot leave sleeping bears lie. Have a set of IK20s I want to try out. I know the stock car has long life ridiums and wanted to find out what performance irdius would be like.

I know that performance iridiums do have small positive improvements on my other cars B4.

LOL the improvements are only from extended use (longer service life)- you wont get any noticable perfomance gain IMO..

however to answer your question (i asked JR) I think you have to remove the splash gutter that sits under your hood where the wipers live..

either that or drop your engine ;)

That's because you went from copper to iridium plugs. Going from iridium to iridium IX won't give a noticeable difference in performance.

Anyway, it's not difficult to remove the original plugs. What problems are you having?
Clearance looks ok:

He probably just needs a longer spark plug wrench, or an extension.

The one I used on my D16A8 civic was too short and used to scrape on the rocker cover and rip off black flakes lol

Just go to supercheap, get an extension for your ratchet. It's cheap, only $5-8 for the made in china one (it's alright since you're using it for high torque work).

Nothin to do with sparkplugs wrenches but a question of removing the overhanging panel for access.
There isn't enough space to even pull out the plug holder!
