my car is due 120,000km service soon... what do they do at the service shop anyway at this time?

i changed the:
1. Oil & Oil filter @110,000
2. Air filter @110,000
3. Fuel filter @110,000
4. cant remember the other ones.. lol

things i havent done:
1. Tranny fluid (scared to do it, bennjamin's DIY - thru VSS hole?)
2. Power steering fluid (emm.. yea got the DIY as well but havent actually read it)
3. Brake fluid (dont know how to bleed brakes)
4. Radiator coolant (cant find bleed hole on EG4?)
5. Tappet adjustment (saw ECU-MAN's DIY tappet adjustment.. um looks hard and scared to try haha)
6. Choke mechanism? whats that? is it TB?

thats what ive read so far in OZhonda .. if only i have time n a friend from ozhonda to do it with me????

i think that break in thing is over rated my opinion …. when u do race motors u have more risk of motors breaking n ppl just take car to tuner n tuners beat it up so …. just built it n enjoy bro not saying to go bang gears n shit lol but u b good bro…… enjoy ur motor

You CAN break a motor in during a highway drive, but the people on the road around you are going to think you're absolutely nuts, speeding up at full throttle and then backing out of it over and over again. And if you're doing it right it won't take anywhere near 3 hours to seat the rings, more like 30 to 40 minutes. Then the oil and filter need to changed after you do a leakdown test to see if it needs any more cycling. Once the leakdown is at 1% or less you're finished. Do Not use any sort of synthetic oil for break in.

It's the decel phase that pushes the rings out against the cylinder wall marrying the two surfaces together. But to get the decel, you need the accel...unless you live on top of a mountain.

I like to vary rpms when breaking in a motor... going on a 3 hour (assuming highway) drive isnt going to do that. I'll drive all around town and take back roads, skip onto the highway for a couple of exits, etc. I'll let the motor cool down completely every hour or so (grab a milkshake or coffee or something).
