Removing Sub/HU

whats involved in removing a sub/amp and headunit from a car? basically just undo all the wires/unplug the hu? are the wires reusable??

When we do installs we use quality cable which costs a fortune. When our customers upgrade to another car we always transfer the cables fo them too. :)
