Yeah thats right, I just got the carby's reco'd an after puttin em back in the car its idling at 4000 when cold.
Any ideas?

throttle cable to tight.

nuh it something 2 do with the choke *nods*
just have to adjust the automatic choke

anyone know where the thermo is??? cuz its not in the housing or anything, prob is that the water isnt gettin into the choke, we put boiling water thru an it idled fine

Im no carby guy, but if u put through boiling water, and it idles fine, isnt that just cos the choke turned off???:confused:
I think u still gotta adjust that

Yes but WHY isnt the water in the engine turning the choke off when its hot???

I thought the problem was its idleing to high at start up. Not that the choke would turn off
