Referring to the thread
1. would the b18c motor fit into a concerto
2. what else do i need to make the engine functional... gearbox? mounts? etc
3. anything else i should know if i do the conversion

Yeah the b18c will fit into the concerto with the help of some custom mounts, if you have the older shape concerto it may sit too close to the hood.
you should also upgrade your front brakes to something a bit bigger and you will also need a new ecu.

i got the 89 efi model

so custom mounts, ecu, brakes, and gearbox

what kinda price am i looking at for all those things + labour

If it takes the same mounts as a ED/EF Onlineperformance in NSW sell them for around $ 450.00.

yeah the ed/ef mounts should fit it, brakes your are looking at maybe around another $400 and prolly $800 for an aftermarket ecu if your not gonna use the one that comes with the engine you will be buying. As for labour usual engine swaps cost around $1500 without too much custom work.

Also keep in my mind you might need a new full exhaust system.

P.S i have both model concertos and might be doing a b16 swap on the later one if it doesnt sell soon. :D

my mate and uncle knows how to do engine swaps but one of the concerns is the wiring.. are there any tutorials or something for the wiring

maybe i should just wait for you to do it and learn :D
