Hey all,
The ECU in my friend's car just gave up on him, he's now looking for an after market one. He's got a boasted D16y1, so a reprogrammable one would be good.
Some ideas of Wolf 3d, haltech. What do u guys think??

JDM P28 or P30 with Hondata,
or jsut a P30 if you can get someone to tune it for you.
umm hondata? I would defaintly take it over the others for our car's due to it running accesories etc so well + a boosted hondata is around $500 cheaper then a haltech unit but has the same features.

so hondata is the way to go weq?? is it hard to tuned coz he actually lives in NT and there's only a few that knows how to even tune cars properly. how much are they i know that haltech is around $1500
if ur in Nt then Hondata might not be the best option, as currently its only service in Bris/Syd/Melb..
its defaintly the way to go with us honda's, but other standalones will also do the job well..
havent had much experience but i hear good things about the Wolf3D V4's and the new Haltechs..

Buying a Hondata and living in NT is no problem I would like to come up there and tune cars for a few days, PM me if your keen all you need to do is hire a dyno for the day and it can be done.

Your still gonna need a ecu for the hondata to work with.

your better of with an OBD II to OBD I converter and a honda P28 or P30, then add Hondata, or any other system that allows your to tune it.
If you can get the microtech cheap then go for it,

AEM is very good - expandable for turbo/NOS etc.. but a bit expensive for your budget $3500+
