How many Euro's on ozhonda have run 14's??
I haven't been able to find any...

heh... after trying to get reasonably priced insurance on a near new well priced Type-S, i decided that high risk vehicles just weren't for me.

I'm now the owner of a silver, bog stock '05 CL9.

After spending a weekend doing trips all over sydney and the gong, i'm mighty impressed with the car. Amazing fuel economy considering the weight and capacity- 320km's and just over half a tank.

Nice... so far I usually do about 200km for 1/2 tank

200 for half a tank is VERY poor fuel consumption dude....
usually for the euro its about 350-360 at half way...

i dont think tron07 is talking about a euro tho?

14's is possible if you mod the thing well have favourable conditions and know how to drive... that's a numbers game tho

its a spritely car to drive :)_

Mine usually averages 270-290km for 1/2 tank. That's with aircon on all the time.

I got 270-300 1/2 tank with aircon and window up usually with a bit of rev coz of my clutch.
for a stock Euro, do expect 350km is good or else u need to learn how to drive again lol

Mine is stock Euro, probably I use more fuel because I upshift gears slowly e.g 0-60km/h. Is it true if I do faster upshift it will reduce the fuel consumption?

yeah spritely is a pretty apt description :)

it feels a tad sedate after the integra... but i'm sure a few little things here and there to open it up will make it a little more interesting.

looking forward to a CAI, bored + tapered tb and rmd header soon.

Hey the big bastard said they are doing a SM4 Autronic P'n'P setup for a Euro is that for your car?

All new engines use more fuel at the start, mine started at like 16L/100km and now its down to 10L/100km or less.

The recommended RPM to change gears is listed in your Accord Manual. Basically you keep the RPM low when accelerating and changing gears, but not too low so that it stresses the engine

Sure is ... be good to see RMD break into the Euro market. I'm sure a few of the guys here will be pretty keen to put out some decent numbers.

I drive in the jam all the time, thus bad fuel consumption.... if go highway, I can easilly get 400km for 1/2 a tank, cruising on 6th gear.

Aircond on most/all of the time except when starting the car.

Why make a claim with nothing to back it up,only your opinion which is worthless with no real information just heresay,as usual he was asking if ANYONE HAD RUN 14's not if anyone could.

My opinion is no more worthless than yours - it is just an opinion and I have expressed it as such.

150kw at the wheels in 1400kg is good enough credibility as far as I am concerned to justify my opinion. Some stock Euros run 15.2 over the quarter with approx 110kw at the wheels.

So for me to "claim" the same vehicle with 150kw at the wheels can achieve 14s is not unreasonable. Not every Euro owner wants to run their car on the strip and there are few owners with ECU modifications (soon to change)- hence we sometimes need to speculate a little. But if you disagree with my view that is ok too  Hopefully once the reflash is released you will see the slips and be satisfied.

Yet again tempers are flairing. Its always in the threads you'd think wouldnt get this sort of conflict that you find everyone takes something personal. I doubt the person who started the thread would have taken offence at someone suggesting a car that MIGHT run a 14 when noone else had posted one. I think 150kw atw should make 14s too... not that it matters - i dont want to be involved in an argument.

Where is the love for our fellow honda loving brethren??

This is a house of love :D

My feeling is that the Euro is good for a mid 15 pass- stock. I would imagine that some bolt-ons along with a lighter flywheel and maybe shorter final drive would make it an entertaining drive. Watch this space
