2007 estimated release date?

Hi all,

so I have established from past posts that no major mods will be included in the 2007 Euro, with facelifts due in 08 or 09. Release dates though seemed not to be covered.

Still, I am planning to buy a standard, manual edition some time this year.
Did think about the luxury model but 6-8k more for leather seats and sat nav isnt worth the $$.

If I get an 06 model, it will depreciate like mad as soon as the 07 is released, so I'd like to hold of until the 07 is out.

So, my question for the regulars here, when do we expect the 07 to be released?

I mailed the friendly folks at honda.com.au and they were kind enough to inform me that they are happy to tell me - as soon as they have announced it is now released. So basically - sorry, we arent' saying :(

Is there a typical time/month of the year when they introduce new models?

Any pointers appreciated.

it shud be out by now unless it has been delayed.....i got my 06 model bak in january

My MY06 was built in Janurary 06 when I bought it in late March, so you should see the MY07's in March sometime, or possibly February if your Dealer has ran out of MY06 stock.

then why the secrecy on their part "oh we cant tell you until it has been released"?

Its probably because they wanna get rid of the 2006 stock first

Facelift might be the wrong word - it is more likely to be an entirely new model from ground up with different engine, etc.

I'm still waiting on delivery of my 2007 sometime in March. However, apparently I could've had one earlier had I chosen something different from a black Luxury Sat-Nav with black leather, body-kit and spoiler. But that's what I wanted so waiting isn't a problem.

I'm not sure if there are any major differences between the 2006 and 2007, if any at all.

Mine was built on October 2006, sold here as 2006 model. However my dealer told me it is 2007 model because the black interior on Nighthawk Black is available for the first time, not available as 2006 model.

The 2007 model would have been available from about October. I picked up my 2006 model just before Christmas 2005.

From Honda's website the only difference for this year seems to be a new colour (dark mocha -- the brown colour in the early photos -- I saw one on the road and it looked pretty nice, much like the Mazda ebony) and the availability of black with black interior.

I think the all new model is due out in 2009? (That would make 3 years pre-facelift, 3 years update -- which is about right for a car's lifespan. The Euro might live a bit longer depending on what happens to the "Accord" as a badge.)

I hope Honda Aust will consider to bring 2 Accord version again just as current one.

lol honda won't tell you anything. they don't want to scare customers away from purchasing new stock. especially on one of their best sellers!

Cheers for all the advice guys. I'll make sure to buy after end of March that way I can be sure the 6MT i want is a new one. Will post pix once i have it
