Pretty sure they do change it at 10,000km (well for the euro at least), check the maintenance schedule in your Honda Manual or Service Manual in the glovebox

it doesnt have the oil filter in the book but most dealers do it, we do

just like how most dealers would do an auto trans service every 20k

My car has only done 5600k at the moment, but sticker says 10000k or May 07, whichever comes first. So, should I drop it in just for oil change or for 10000k service? thanks...

Your dealer doesn't have to. Ask your dealer if they do change. If they say they don't ask for it to be changed.

they don't change the filter at 10,000km intervals if it is a lease vehicle. Other than that they change it no questions asked or if not requested by you the customer. Services are 10,000km or every 6 months but it's up to you to bring it in whenever you feel most comfortable. Hell you could bring it in 100,000 km after but it's your gamble.

Goodafternoon Honda Service speaking.

To answer your question; is your car a Fleet/Lease vehicle? If so, no. Your oil filter will be replaced at 20, 40, 60....

At my work, it's every 10,000KM's.

Now, to keep regular maintenence of your Honda, yes, we do suggest EVERY 10,000KM's or 6 months time - Whichever comes first. However, if you find you are doing less than recommended mileage, DO bring it in for a minor service within the next 6 months. When the time comes for your major service (40,000KM's), you can choose to carry out another general service (oil & oil filter - no tuning) if you wish until you reach closer to 40,000KM's.
